Fire Nights

 One thing that I really miss about Canadian summers is when the weather cools at nighttime. That doesn't happen in KC. It's hot all day. When we were home this summer we slept with the windows open, no air condiditoning, and woke up in the morning needing a sweater.

This is a big part of why I don't like having backyard fires (that and I think the smell in my clothes and hair is awful). The heat from a fire when it's already so hot is not enjoyable. Today the temperature dropped to a chilly 26 degrees so we decided to have a small fire after dinner.
