Microscope

I found a kid's microscope at a garage sale and Allison has been looking for more stuff to examine. I offered her my blood and she got really excited.

Strawberry Picking

Today we drove out to Lawrence, Kansas to go strawberry picking. Each group was given a row so we could keep our distances. We were also told not to eat in the aisles, which to me is the best part of picking your own fruit. We had fun and got some big berries.

Easter Dress

Since Allison didn't get a chance to wear her Easter Dress this year, we took some pictures around the house since it likely won't fit her next year!

Home School

We were so lucky to have Allison enrolled in an amazing school during the school shut downs. Whitefield has always said that they will never depend on tablets and computers for kids to learn the basics. When it was determined that the kids wouldn't be coming back for in-room schooling, the teachers showed up during March Break to get a program in place, answer emails, and have packets of lessons ready to be picked up on Monday morning. There were daily videos, science lessons, and clear outlines for handing work in.

I was a terrible home school teacher for Allison but she still got a great education in those 3 months because of the hard work her teachers put in.

This past week was theme week and this picture is from wacky hair day. I used 30 elastics to get her hair to stand up.

Hostas

Our pastor's wife was clearing out her flower beds and asked if I wanted her hostas. I love hostas because they are so easy and I really love simple green plants. She said that I needed to come over to dig them out and I happily agreed.

This is how many hostas I brought home - and I only stopped because I couldn't fit any more in my car. There was another load that went to another church member.
