Go Chiefs Go!

This week John Mark (pastor) invited us - and 20 others from the church- to the first game of the year at the staduim. Although it wasn't part of the season, it was still an amazing experience to see our first NFL game. Today after volunteering I was able to go to the thrift store down the street to look for a chiefs shirt. I found this one in the boys department for 99 cents! What a steal! I felt like a true fan!

The stadium is beautiful and mirrors the Royals stadium which is right beside the football stadium. The weather looked dismal but the rain held off - we were so thankful! Parking was a bit of a nightmare but luckily John Mark and his wife Jill drove so it was a nice break. The game was fun to watch (even though Kansas lost) but the realtreat was getting to know 2 new couples from the church - one who is just starting her first year at the the Kansas City Medical University. These types of events are so good for the church. They create such easy frienships and make it so much easier to chat on Sunday mornings. The young group in our church is so strong and we're so excited to be a part of it!
