Birthday Party

We joke that Allison only gets one party every 5 years. So far it's been true because birthday parties are so much work! We don't host much as our house is quite small but with nice weather, we can use our amazing backyard to have our friends over. We invited everyone in our church with kids, and in the end we had over 70 people - which is more than we had at our wedding.

We had a rainbow (color) theme for the birthday based around the bounce house that put up that was very colorful. For entertainment we had a twister board (that we spray painted onto the grass), bubbles, a sand box,, balls, Frisbees, and sidewalk chalk, and the bounce house. For food we had BBQ hot dogs and sausages, fruit, veggies, chips, and rainbow jello cups. For dessert we bought a Costco birthday cake - that I nearly forgot to serve because I was too busy chatting with guests.

Everyone seemed to have a great time and we raised a lot of money for the Ronald McDonald House (a charity that we used while Allison was in the NICU).

I didn't take many pictures because it was a very busy afternoon!
