Pi-Shu Weekend

Allison's class has a Kindergarten mascot - a stuffed panda named Pi-Shu. Each Friday, Mrs. Dodd draws a name from a bag and that student gets to take Pi-Shu home for the weekend, then the parent writes a page in a notebook (of everyone's Pi-Shu adventures) about what you do with him (so post pictures, or draw pictures), then Mrs. Dodd reads the page to the class on Monday morning.

The student who got Pi-Shu, or the Star Student, also has their poster displayed during the week.

First, let me say, I'm so glad this was a long weekend, because I don't know how parents are doing activities with this bear, taking photos, developing the photos, then writing about their adventures, before the book is back in the classroom at 8am on Monday morning.  Allison was really excited to get the panda, there are only 2 kids left in the class who haven't got him.  I really liked reading the pages of the other kids, although it made me feel intimidated! Some of these kids did some really fun things with this panda!

We were home most of the weekend, so we tried to make a panda theme out of everything - breakfast, playtime, art, etc.
