Parents Week

Even though Nathan and I were gone the majority of the time my parents were in KC, we did have a few days together. We went down to Union Station together to see the Chiefs props that were put up to draw visitors and get people excited for the Superbowl.

 

 We had a big snowfall the day after my parents arrived and we all spent time out in the snow building snow friends and a huge snow fort.

 

When we first moved into our home we made a long list of "handy-man" things that needed to do be done around the house. Most of the things are minor (with the exception of 2 that require a more specific knowledge of household repairs, for example, replacing a tile in the shower).  We had a company come out to give us a quote on completing the list since Nathan knows his limitations on house repairs and he's so busy with work, church, family, and studying that he doesn't have much free time. The quote we were given was over $4000. My Dad was here for a week and did nearly everything on the list - the only exceptions were things I forgot to add.

So we got house repairs, childcare, and a vacation. We are truly spoiled.
