Today Whitefield had their annual Serve Day. Nathan had the day off so we were both able to go to the school to help the kids build their welcome bags for the women entering the Restoration House of KC. The kids loved packing all the goodies that parents brought in and they made quick work of it.
After the bags were made, we drove a few miles down the road to a retirement home. The kids sang a song, recited poems and psalms, then handed out notes and cookies to the guests. Allison was so brave (I remember being scared of old people when I was younger) but she was the first one to leave the group and give her note out.
**Allison loved Serve Day and continues to wear her shirt for the next 3 days.
