We've been having some cold snaps here in KC lately (mostly just lasting
for the mornings) so I decided to use some scrap yarn to make myself a
hat since I forgot my winter toque at home. I found a really easy
pattern online for a slouch hat but I took out the weight in the top
because I wanted it more fitting. It was really easy. First I crocheted
the band, then worked in a round a tub until I reached how much "slouch"
I wanted. Then, I just connected the top together with a single crochet
and DONE! I paired it with my new jeans and sweater (both from the Gap
with tags on at Maj-R-Thrift) that I bought yesterday for $1.99
(yes..both items) and I was ready for an afternoon walk in the cool
temperatures.
