The mornings with the kids are always a little stressful. No one wants to get dressed, brush their hair or teeth, or eat breakfast. Add to that that my Dad had an early dentist appointment and it's only my Mom's second day back at work and we were all on a mission to get everyone out the door by 8am.
It's been slightly mild around here (only -1!) so to get the kids in their winter clothes I offered to take them outside on the ice patches in the yard. We had a lot of fun slipping around and Scarlett kept it together even though she had a close call with her noggin on the ice.
Tanner was more interested with what was inside the (pool) fence and was really excited when my Dad came and hoisted him up.
Once they were sufficiently red cheeked, runny nosed, and frost bitten we tossed them in backseat of the truck to head off to the babysitter's house.
