Sea Life Aquarium

It's been a year since I've taken Allison to the KC aquarium. Today was the Toddler Tuesday pricing, where for $14, an adult and under 4 kid can get in. We headed to Crown Center at 10am for our entry time. Allison was more interested in collecting stamps at each exhibit than learning about the fish in each exhibit, but it was a fun way to pass the morning.

Allison's favorite part was the final exhibit called Doodle Reef. Kids came color a fish of their choosing on a tablet, set the creature free into the ocean, watch it swim off their screen, then through the screen above them with the creatures of those at their table, then through the large screen at the front of the room, where all the fish from everyone in the room swims for a few minutes. It's a cool idea and Allison loved seeing her fish on the big screen. We both colored a dozen or so fish.

After the aquarium we walked through the stores at Crown Center (the toy store, the Crayola store and one kid clothing store). I told Allison she could either eat lunch at a restaurant or get an ice cream cone. She picked a cone so I let her ruin her lunch before we headed home.
