Raking in January

One of my favorite things about Kansas City is the mild winters. It may get cold and snow, but it's doesn't stay that way for long. There is always a warm day on the horizon. Today, the temperature reached 17 degrees so Nathan and I decided to get some yard work done. Allison was a little sleepy from a long day at school so she didn't want to play outside. Instead, she sat in the large box (that we kept from when we bought a new mattress) with my iPad while we racked a small portion of the yard. It took us about 2 hours but it was fun to work together and be outside on this gorgeous day.
