First Home

We have loved living in our current house. Our landlords are great friends of ours, they have given us so much trust and freedom with the house. Allison has spent her entire life in our Prairie Village house. We knew that we would eventually find a house that we wanted to buy but first we wanted to pay off Nathan's medical school loans.

Last fall we decided to go see a house that had just come on the market because Nathan had a day off, we were curious about house hunting, etc. even though we weren't due to start looking until January 2019. Of course, we fell in love with the house. We tried to think of a way to make it work, but with the aggressive loan repayment plan we were on, we wanted to stick it out. The house went off the market and it really felt like a loss.

Fast forward to March 2019, Nathan finds out that the buyer had backed out and the house was still for sale. The realtor remembered us and asked if we wanted to come look at it again. I couldn't believe it when Nathan told me. We went back to look at it and we still loved it and thought it would be a great fit for our family. The house is only a 5 minute drive from our current house.

We put in an offer and it was accepted! It has been a busy couple of months. Nathan has been working endlessly on paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. We've been meeting at the house for inspections, dealt with negotiations on furniture, and many calls with our realtor.

We will get the keys on May 2, and be fully moved in by May 3rd!
