Loss

Dear Family and Friends,

 

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that Amanda went into pre-term labor Saturday afternoon and because of a complication that arose, the labor could not be suppressed.

 

Our son, given my middle name Michael, was stillborn late Saturday night.

 

From all available information, the trigger of labor was not known but this specific type of event can occur with exceedingly rare frequency. Amanda is doing well medically, but our family will need time to heal from the loss of our first son.

 

We are scheduled to be in Kansas City, Missouri beginning March 1st.

 

In this difficult time, we rely on God's blessing of loving family, friends, and "the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
