Home Bound

Today we went for a final Timmy's breakfast with John Mark and Jill, and after hitting up a local mall, we dropped the couple off at the airport. We decided that we'd drive the full 8 1/2 hours home rather than stay in a hotel but that we would split it up with a couple of stops.

First we stopped in Kingston at Fort Henry. There is a buy one get two special on this summer for Fort Henry and Upper Canada Village so we were able to use our tickets from last Wednesday here. The Fort was interesting but it was difficult to look around because there were 3 (THREE!) weddings going on and there were tons of people setting up for a 1812 anniversary (lights, cameras, chairs, and podiums). We felt like we were in the way, constantly stepping out of bridal party pictures and running into dead ends because areas were blocked off for the events. It was still a good stop and worth seeing- especially when I got to put Nathan in jail.

We stopped in Oshawa for dinner at Casey's then headed for home. We were able to make it home by 11pm. The drive went by really quickly and we were thankful to be back in our bed.
