Beast

Yesterday at church, Allison's room didn't have any child care workers so my friend, Melinda, and I offered to stay back and watch the kids. Melinda and I both love Halloween and we were talking about kid costumes and she mentioned that she wanted her son to be Beast from Beauty and the Beast but that she couldn't find a coat for her toddler.

When I got home, I saw that I had some blue felt, and some gold wool (from Allison's lion coat) and offered to make one for Josh.

I found a simple 2T bomber coat pattern online and then just added extras to give it the Beast design. Sewing with felt is disposable, but it's so easy and simple. I patterned the coat, cut and sewed it in under an hour and a half.

I'm so excited for Halloween this year!
