The Long Trip Home

Well, I was right... Nathan drove the full 14 hours home.

I offered to drive the final stretch from Windsor to Boxall but Nathan said that he'd already driven so far he might as well keep going.

We were all packed from last night so this morning we were able to be on the road by 5am.

We hit a snow storm just outside of KC and it was really slick but after about an hour the snow slowed and it was a smooth drive from there. We stopped 3 times for food and coffee but never for very long because we couldn't wait to get home.

The border was completely empty at 8pm and we didn't have any problems. My parents were waiting for us when we arrived and after bringing in our computers (and my sewing machine) we collapsed into bed for some much needed rest.

It's good to be home.
