Tonight was the goodbye party for the Mitchell family. Adam Mitchell was our church pastor for two years and he and his family are moving back to their hometown to be closer to their extended family. Instead of a dinner, we had a sundae party. Everyone brought toppings or drinks and we had a great time. Nathan had to work so it was just Allison and I. Allison had a great time playing the other kids, especially jumping on the trampoline and playing on the outdoor playset.
The only bad part of the evening was when little Lydia Mitchell decided to play in the fire pit (that was used 12 hours earlier) and some of the coals were still hot. A trip to the emergency room followed for her second degree burns. She's doing well, but what a way to add stress to an already busy week!
