Princess Quilt

I have no idea why I've waited so long to learn how to make make rag quilts. They are so fast and easy and look great! Also, the more you wash them (by just tossing them in the washing machine) the better they look!

I didn't know what to get Arwen for her birthday and when I saw some flannel Frozen fabric at Joann's I knew it was the perfect time to try out a flannel quilt pattern.

The pattern I used was very simple, I found the measurements online and it only took 4 1/2 yards of flannel.

It took 1 hour to cut the strips, 1 hour to sew, 1/2 hour to cut- then I just threw it in the washer and dryer! DONE!

I think it's fun when kids have things that are just their own. Arwen loved it! It made me feel really good when she immediately started carrying it around her party. I'm glad I chose to try a new way of quilting.

This picture sums up how special I felt at Arwen's birthday party.
