Nathan had the day off today but still had paperwork to do. He spent the morning doing his work while Allison and I played and got ready to face the day.
We had a quiet day of running errands and corralling Allison. Nathan and I both have coughs and we've been taking turns waking each other up in the night so when it was time for Allison's nap - we all napped.
We all woke up feeling refreshed and ready to go to the Prairie Village tree lighting ceremony. It was held a small group of shops a few blocks from our house.
Sluggerr (the Royals mascot) was there to help Santa flip the switch. The mayor introduced a carol group, a high school choir, and a kid's dance troupe. It was a mild night so that one hour that we spent outside was bearable - plus they had free hot chocolate and cookies.
Allison freaked out over Sluggerr and kept trying to get to him. She also found a cat in a shop window that entertained her for a few quiet moments. We had a good time and Allison loves being around people - she was sad when it was time to go home.
