Fun at the Zoo

We spent two days at the KC Zoo this week. First, we went on Monday when the temperature was only 5 degrees. It was very chilly but we dressed warm. We had the zoo to ourselves and we did the main part of the zoo on the first day. Allison and Scarlett had fun feeding the goats in the recently opened goat park, but they weren't too happy when the birds in one of the open enclosures decided to peck at their brightly colored shoe laces. One bird even tried to snack on Allison's hand!

Our second trip to the zoo was on Thursday morning. We wanted to see the Africa portion of the zoo and thought that with today's high of 18 degrees, it was the perfect time.
