Rain, Raining, Rainy

It's been a long, cool, rainy week here in KC.

We've been staying in most afternoons and working on projects like play-doh and drawing. Today was slightly warmer than it has been and Allison asked if she could go outside and play in the rain.

 

In no time she was soaked and muddy. I put her in the bath to rinse her feet and turned my back to answer a phone call, and when I looked back she had put the stopper in the drain and was sitting, fully clothed, in the water. She thought it was hilarious, and I did too.

Even though we've felt a little cooped up this week, the rain is doing some wonderful things to our yard and trees. Everything is starting to bloom. Our neighbors already have their lilacs!
