December Zoo

It was a gloomy but fairly warm day, so we decided to head to the zoo for a family day before Allison and I head to Canada for Christmas.

 

 For the first time, we went to the Wings of Wonder bird show. There were only 15 people in the audience so we were able to sit in the front row. When the handlers asked for a volunteer from the audience, Allison quickly raised her hand. I've had several chats with her in the past that if she wants to volunteer, she has to put her hand up and keep it up (she often second guesses herself then gets sad when she's not chosen). Today she was so brave, even when the pigeon landed on her hand.
