Fall Festival

We had plans to go to Weston, Missouri today but with our colds and the late departure time, we decided that we'd just stay close to home instead.
Nathan had a pastor leader meeting in the morning, then we headed out to the waste water treatment plant to dispose of leftover paint. On our way home we stopped at the Shawnee Mission Fall Festival. It's a 2 day festival with snacks, kid-friendly activities, crafts, and entertainment. We stayed for a hour and walked around the lawn of the mission. We didn't go in the buildings but the grounds were really interesting. Shawnee Mission was established as a manual training school attended by boys and girls from Shawnee, Delaware, and other Indian nations from 1839 to 1862.

When we got home we had a delicious bowl of pea soup and everyone went down for a nap.
