Church Search Cont'd

Today we tried a Baptist church that we saw on our way to church last week. The church is on Sate Line Road - but on the Kansas side. It was interesting that all the license plates were from Kansas - no Missouri plates.

The church was a little bigger (about 60 people) but again, there weren't any young people. We were welcomed by several women who chatted with us until the service began. They had an amazing choir, but the preaching wasn't biblically based enough for us. Our church search continues, but we did see a couple churches on our drive home and when we looked them up online they look really promising. I hope we find a place to settle in soon. It already feels like this time here will slip by fast.

After church we drove to a few house locations that Nathan's Saba friend (Billy), who is starting rotations in Kansas soon, wanted us to check out. We went to see what kind of neighbourhood each was in, how close to the hospital etc. It was relaxing to get to spend some time with Nathan and we were able to see a few more places in the city. he worked every day this week (except for Sunday) and he's worn out. We drove past 2 of the city's museums, the Nelson - Atkins Museum of Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Both were really cool buildings and probably only a 15 minute walk from our house. I'm already starting to make a week plan for Amy and I filled with tourist activities.
